From My Classroom To Yours

Middle School Language Arts
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly!

You already know that teaching middle school language arts is going to be tough. Why? Well teaching middle school is tough by itself. Add the never ending stream of grading papers and standardized reading tests and you’ve got a bear on your hands!

Middle school can be a confusing and challenging time for students, parents, and yes, sometimes even teachers.

I’ve seen many parent ask with teary eyes “what’s happening to my child?!” In most cases it just takes a lot of work and a lot more hands on parenting and teaching to bring them through this confusing year successfully.

Language Arts Grading Never Ends!Teaching language arts at any grade level is extremely intense.

While the language arts topics and language arts activities are often quite interesting and fun to teach, preparing for them and grading them afterwards take up much of your “free” time.  You may feel overwhelmed! But don't worry - with proper preparation and by using the resources you can find on this site, you'll do just fine!
